MEDICINE IN WORLD WAR II AND THE KOREAN WAR

Research Question: How Did Medicine and Medical Practices Advance During WWII and the Korean War and How Can They Be Used Today?

Wars are, and always will be, about killing your enemy in the easiest and cheapest way. Many people think that the men and women fighting to kill the enemy are heroes, but there are many more men and women who deserve as much praise, if not more, for what they do. Their job has the same risks, sometimes more, yet they get up every day, get out of their safe haven and under the feeble and wavering protection of the red cross, save those who cannot save themselves by administering first aid.
This website pays respect to the developments they had to fight so hard for. But it does more than that. It attempts to teach you how they save lives, and how these developments may one day save your life in a bad situation, whether it be MEDEVACed from a battlefield after being wounded, or simply because you inhaled water in the pool, these advancements have saved countless people both on the battlefield and at home.

"WHILE EVERYBODY ELSE IS TAKING LIFE, I’M GONNA BE SAVING IT."

- Desmond Doss

The structure of the Medical Corps differs from country to country, but what never differs is the goal. The Medical Corps will always be at the forefront of new medical practices, yet they will also always be the unsung heroes of any battle, whether it be a military one or a battle against time to save a life in the E.R. Whatever they do, it's time we paid back a little of the huge debt we owe, so please take a moment to recognise all they have done for us by looking through this website.
